Topping Out

As is tradition in the construction of high-rises, dignitaries and construction workers sign the last piece of steel that “tops out” the structure.  In 1964, the Prudential Tower topped out and in this picture Boston Mayor John Collins signs his name to the last piece of structural steel to be put in place.
